Brokenness, like a deep and desolate chasm, separated,
Reaching your arms out upon the cross, forging the way,
Infinite Love poured out for the one, the many, the every,
Death and distance have no say.
Grave, where is your victory?
Eternal Life…the journey begins…covered by Your Love.

8th Day of Lent

Captured by the sudden intensity of a passing storm,
cold and paralyzed,

If I struggle, I will break
Bent and bowed low, I surrender.

In stillness I wait…
for Light of sun,
for Breath of wind,

To melt away this icy burden,
To emerge free and lifted up once more.
