28th Day of Lent

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:17

The word for “save” in the above passage also means “heal” or to “make whole”. It’s the same word used when Jesus healed the sick. As followers of Jesus, can we be people who bring healing to this world through Christ?

Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new. God has done it all! He sent Christ to make peace between himself and us, and he has given us the work of making peace between himself and others. What we mean is that God was in Christ, offering peace and forgiveness to the people of this world. And he has given us the work of sharing his message about peace.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (Contemporary English Version)

How would you live differently today if you considered yourself an ambassador of peace and healing? How different would your perspective be on the various situations you are about to encounter?

Prayer:
Spirit of Christ, please fill me wit your love and light. May my life be a source of healing wherever I am in this world today. Amen
